Cost Effective Conditioning and Real-time Analysis

BOP Fluid Conditioning & Monitoring System is primarily designed to improve fluid quality by reducing microbial activity, removing suspended particles and provide real-time data of BOP fluid pH and conductivity for event & trending analysis.

The two main causes for BOP fluid quality problems include contaminated water supply and microbial growth in the mixed fluid. Downtime and failure reports indicate several re-occurring problems with these fluids and in order for the subsea and BOP hydraulic components to operate reliably, the mixed fluid must stay clean and provide a minimum level of lubricity.

Importance of Continuous Monitoring

Offshore Blow Out Preventer (BOP) fluids are essential for the reliable functioning of the BOP control system. Traditionally, water-based fluids and make-up water are tested periodically through daily or weekly samples sent to onshore labs. However, this process may fail to detect issues promptly, potentially delaying corrective action when poor-quality fluid reaches the BOP equipment. Continuous fluid conditioning and monitoring address these gaps, ensuring consistent fluid quality and capturing anomalies in real-time.

Enhancing Reliability with Advanced Monitoring Solutions

The Subsea Co.’s monitoring equipment provides critical insights by identifying pH changes signaling microbial growth and conductivity shifts indicating dissolved solids. By analyzing this data in correlation with fluid make-up, storage, and usage events, subsea engineers can prevent the occasional incidents that compromise BOP fluid quality. Our exclusive BOP Fluid Conditioning and Monitoring system not only improves fluid quality but also delivers actionable data, reducing downtime and enhancing the reliability of subsea BOP control systems. Contact The Subsea Co. today for a demonstration and see how our system can save you time and money.
